Umesh Parajuli

Mr. Umesh Parajuli is a seasoned civil engineer and infrastructure specialist with over two decades of experience in Nepal's hydropower sector. Holding a Master's degree in Construction Management, he combines technical expertise with strategic project leadership.

Currently, he is the Project Manager at Electro Power Company Ltd., overseeing the 44 MW Bhotekoshi-1 Hydroelectric Project in Sindhupalchowk. His responsibilities include project planning, budgeting, civil and electro-mechanical supervision, material procurement, and coordination with government bodies such as DOED and NEA. He plays a key role in compliance, permits, land acquisition, and community engagement to ensure timely project delivery.

Previously, he spent nearly a decade at Madhya Bhotekoshi Jalavidyut Company Ltd., contributing to the 102 MW Middle Bhotekoshi Hydroelectric Project. There, he supervised critical components including tunnels, surge shafts, and headworks, later focusing on planning and contract administration. Earlier, as a Planning & Scheduling Engineer at Lahmeyer International GmbH, he utilized Primavera and MS Project for delay analysis and project optimization.

His career began at National Hydropower Company Ltd., where he spent 11 years at Indrawati III Hydroelectric Power Station (7.5 MW), progressing from Civil Supervisor to Civil Engineer, gaining extensive field construction, quality control, and procurement experience.

Mr. Parajuli is also the Founder, Director, and CEO of Abiral Infra Solutions Pvt. Ltd., importing safety items, tools, and construction equipment for hydropower and infrastructure projects across Nepal. Additionally, as Director of Arpan Jalavidyut Pvt. Ltd., he plays a strategic role in project development and stakeholder coordination.

His integrated expertise in engineering, management, and entrepreneurship continues to drive sustainable energy solutions for Nepal's development.
